This work explores the duality that lives within each of us. The upper half pulses with energy — handmade paste builds a rich, layered relief evoking flowing magma, the primal force of the earth cracking and shifting. Dark fissures cut through the deep red surface like marks of ambition, creativity, and restless drive.

The lower half simply breathes. Flat, bright, still — a pure red that radiates calm and invites pause. Together, these two halves tell a deeply human story: sometimes boundless and driven, sometimes longing for quiet and groundedness.

Inspired by the geology of the earth — magma cooling to form fertile land — this painting reminds us that from tension and movement, something valuable ultimately grows.
