  • Biography

Member of the Spanish Royal Photographic Society, Madrid-based Vietnamese artist Viet Ha Tran is a fine art photographer and multi-disciplinary artist whose name is officially listed in the art market Artprice (France) since 2015 and published in over 120 newspapers and magazines around the world. She has been commissioned by Vogue Italia and Louis Vuitton Paris.

Starting photography in 20213, her photographs have been featured on the Spanish national news Expansión, El Economista and El Adelantado, The Times of India, The Hindu, Vietnam News, Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair France, at Saatchi Gallery London, and were auctioned by Christie’s Hong Kong for charity. She is listed as global artist by Artprice, the world leader in art market information, and represented by Art+Commerce / Vogue Italia – the joint project of the largest global photo agency based in New York and the prestigious Vogue Italia.

Viet Ha is represented by a large number of galleries in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Paris, London, Tel Aviv, Cape Town, Los Angeles, Pennsylvania, Beijing, Bangkok, New Delhi, Ho Chi Minh City etc. Her works have appeared in physical public auctions in Spain alongside works by Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Banksy and Andy Warhol.

Viet Ha was a Jury member of IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities at the prestigious IE University (Madrid, Spain) from 2016-2020. She also worked as Exhibition Manager and Curator for exhibitions at IE University during this period. In addition, in 2015, some of her photographs were published in the academic literature book published by Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). In 2017, she co-authored the book (in Spanish) "Female Entrepreneurs: a way to be in this world" (Empresarias: una manera de estar en el mundo) talking about the challenges of the early days of her artist career.

    ABOUT HER WORK:

Viet Ha started her photography journey with classic portraits and later on with landscape and nature photography. While her portrait photographs resemble classic paintings with strong, vivid colors, her landscape photographs create an atmosphere of zen and peace of mind.

“Highly inspired by a mixture of philosophy, classic literature, European classic paintings and Persian mystic poetry, Viet Ha’s works evoke oil paintings by the Old Masters. Thoughtful and lyrical, her photographs have a feeling of being freshly minted and timeless at the same time.”
    – Widewalls, Switzerland –

“With an air of classic paintings, Viet Ha’s pictures remind us of works by Caravaggio, the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood as well as some scenes by James Tissot. Her photographs have the power to push viewers into a daydream where reality conveys with the artist’s inner world.”
