  • Biography

I have been painting for over twenty years.  I am a self taught artist. Around four years ago, I went public with my paintings, using the internet as a platform. Before making this move, I felt that I should have a body of work created that was emblematic of my style and subject matter. I retired as a Physician Assistant - Surgery, in 2016 and now consider myself a professional artist.

I paint using acrylics on canvas. My subject matter to date has been, floral scenes, landscapes, seascapes, and patterns from architectural reflective surfaces. The first three subjects are painted in the style of photorealism.  The last subject, my Architectural Reflection Series is also in the photorealism style, but somewhat more free form. Whatever I paint, I use the subject matter as a template and then I let the artist in me take over. I do not use an art projection device for any of my paintings, never have and never will.
