In December, two floors of the historic Enrico Del Carretto castle in Millesimo will host the first solo exhibition of the young painter Sofia Fresia, a graduate student at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. The exhibition includes a selection of figurative artworks made with different techniques and materials: drawings, engravings and oil paintings become the means to bring visitors closer to the world of the Academies of Fine Arts of today, where technology has become an integral part of the creation process even in the most classic disciplines. The exhibition will present for the first time to the public part of the artist's production, divided into thematic parts that favor, on the one hand, the understanding of the artistic research carried out in recent years, on the other hand, the knowledge of the different activities that a student of painting is faced during his studies at the Academy.

Biography
Over the last year and within a context of eco-sustainable practice, I've started a study project on recycled materials, in order to find alternative supports to the canvas and question the hierarchy between the various components of the artwork. In my shop you will find also some landscape paintings and studies of old masters that I realized during my art studies.
