About Santicri

Biography

Santicri was born in 1992 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Initially trained as a surveyor and later as an architect, he developed at an early stage a strong sensitivity to form, structure, and material. This technical discipline, combined with an expansive and intuitive imagination, naturally guided him toward the practice of sculpture, where precision and creativity could coexist freely.

Rooted in a background that values construction and balance, Santicri approaches his work with both rigor and fluidity. His artistic language unfolds at the intersection of control and spontaneity, where measured gestures meet instinctive impulses. Through this duality, he builds a visual vocabulary that is both structured and deeply expressive.

Driven by a profound sense of creative freedom, Santicri explores matter as a living element. Texture, movement, and surface become essential tools in his process, allowing each work to evolve organically. His sculptures seem to capture a suspended moment—an instant where form is still in transformation, where energy circulates beneath the surface. There is a tactile intensity in his pieces, a quiet vibration that invites the viewer to engage not only visually, but almost physically.

At the heart of his practice lies a constant dialogue between construction and emotion. Each sculpture emerges from a poetic impulse, an initial intuition that the artist refines and shapes with patience and sensitivity. This process continues until a delicate equilibrium is reached—where form resonates with feeling, and structure supports sensation without constraining it. His works do not impose themselves; they unfold gently, revealing their presence through nuance and balance.

Santicri’s universe is both vibrant and intimate. His use of color introduces a luminous, almost dreamlike dimension, softening the architectural clarity of his forms. It is within this interplay that his work finds its uniqueness: a space where modernism meets the tenderness of imagination, where precision gives way to emotion without ever losing its foundation.

Beyond their physical presence, Santicri’s sculptures seek to express what lies just beyond the visible. They evoke a subtle harmony between poetry and structure, between the gesture that creates and the thought that guides it. In this sense, his work becomes a bridge—linking the tangible and the intangible, the rational and the sensitive.

Through each piece, Santicri invites us to slow down, to observe more closely, and to feel more deeply. His sculptures are not merely objects; they are experiences, shaped by the tension between discipline and freedom, and brought to life by a quiet yet powerful poetic vision.
