About Peter Park

The colours, shapes and textures I use all come from my interaction with an environment. So my work is created from memories of interactions with places visited along with drawings and working from life. This process allows me to work imaginatively and creatively. A painting may change many times before finished.
I find that the paintings almost "make themselves" dictating the textures and colours as I build up layers. When complete they tell me to stop, until that point I keep adding to them or sometimes taking things away.

I believe owning an original artwork is special, there is only one of each of my paintings so you are getting something unique and I hope that if my work is chosen by you  it will give you many years of pleasure.
