About Paramjeet Kaur

  • Biography
I am Paramjeet Kaur, a self-taught artist based in India. I have been passionate about art since childhood, although I began pursuing it more seriously later in life after I stepped away from a medical degree. I grew up in a home surrounded by trees and plants, and this early connection with nature strongly influenced my work and continues to inspire my art today. Now art has become an important part of my life and gives me a deep sense of meaning and happiness.
Over the past 6 years, I have continued to develop my work, mainly using coloured pencil and graphite, while also exploring pastels and oil painting. I am particularly drawn to coloured pencils because they are a slow and patient medium. I tend to work on smaller pieces that allow for careful observation and fine detail. My work is inspired by the beauty of nature and through different subjects such as florals and landscapes, I aim to show that its beauty exists in both the small and the great. I am particularly drawn to roses because I feel they hold an emotional place in our lives. My work balances realism with atmosphere and emotion, focusing on calm and simple moments that help viewers slow down and feel connected to the world around them. I believe nature is constantly creating beautiful scenes around us, and through my art I aim to draw attention to the beauty that often goes unnoticed.
I work with high quality art materials and use layering and blending techniques to build depth and soft transitions, focusing on fine details and subtle tonal variations. Each artwork is created with patience, care and close observation.
My work has been recognized internationally, including receiving 3rd place in the Floral category at the Art Collector’s Choice Awards. I have also participated in a group exhibition at Lokayata Art Gallery in New Delhi, India, and my work has been collected internationally, including in the USA. I want to sell on Artfinder because I would like to share my art with a wider audience and I believe being part of a global community of art lovers will help me grow as an artist.
