Biography
Min Wang is a contemporary abstract painter based in China. Academically trained at one of China’s leading prestigious fine arts institutions, he creates gallery-level abstract works rooted in cultural memory, organic vitality, and the emotional weight of lived experience.
Drawing inspiration from the landscapes and material culture of central China, his paintings transform memory, natural textures, and handmade traditions into richly layered contemporary abstraction. He is the founder of MinXing Youth Art Museum, founder of the Jingling Painting School in Hubei, Vice Director of the Tianmen Artists Association, and recipient of the Changjiang Outstanding Artist Award. His work has been widely exhibited and collected by both private and institutional collectors in China and abroad.
