About Eva Percich

Biography

About the Artist
Eva Percich was born in Sicily, Italy, in 1981. From an early age, she demonstrated a marked sensitivity and aptitude for the visual arts. At fourteen, she enrolled in the State Art Institute of Bologna, Italy, where she pursued her artistic training and graduated as a Master of Art.

At the age of twenty, she moved to the Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica—a shift that profoundly transformed her artistic vision. There, she began to fuse the tradition and rigor of her classical Italian training with the exuberance, vibrant colors, and cultural richness of the Costa Rican tropics.
Wild, lush nature became the gravitational center of her work. Her pictorial language combines intense colors with interlocking geometric shapes, creating compositions that evoke movement, connection, and balance.

In her paintings, Costa Rica’s biodiversity and environment take on a symbolic dimension: they are not merely landscapes or natural elements, but an expression of the unity and harmony that exist among all living things.
