  • Biography
DÉRHND is my artist name. Derived from German “der Hund” — the dog. With emphasis on the first syllable it sounds in a way northern and a little rough in character. I like that. I love observing nature with its absolute perfection and incredible aesthetics in all the manifestations.

I’m fascinated by the sacral world of the human subconsciousness. And I’m absolutely thrilled to immerse into its depth, bringing out hidden fears, complex meanings and images to the surface, which usually don’t fit into the format of words. I’m curious about the primal instincts of human nature and their disclosure according to the environment, culture, ethnicity, mythology and archetypes. Thus, by shaping these images in a realistic painted manner — which aren’t real in fact — there’s a world is been created, full of vivid colors, symbolism and phantasmagoria.

Graduation: Bachelor of Arts, design faculty. Currently living and working in Wuppertal, Germany.
