2018 Craven Arts National Show, Gallery, New Bern, North Carolina, Group ShowThree of my oil paintings have just been juried into the prestigious and highly competitive "Highbee 6X6" Squared" show near Los Angeles.

Art is my life. From the first art project I can remember (making a Christmas Nativity scene in grade school that overshadowed the resident artist) art has always been what brings me the greatest satisfaction. Without art, I am not who I am.

I primarily work in oils. Plein air work is especially appealing and challenging.
Nature invokes my creative interests, providing a wealth of areas to explore and interpret. A goal is to enlighten and eclipse the objects I draw and paint, inducing moods and emotions that envelope the viewer.

Fine art influencers include Georgia O'Keefe, da Vinci, Abbey Ryan, Rembrandt and Degas. I look to their struggles and triumphs, and their unflinching persistence.
