  • Biography

    Hi, I'm Anna

glad to see you on my page!

At the centre of my artistic research is a holistic biological conception of life where both human and non-human actors have a defining place. I work with images of the future and present of the Anthropocene. I work with plasticity, with corporeal forms of interaction between the plant and human. The potential exteriority embedded in every living organism allows me to construct a coherent composition, a harmony of gestures and forms. The plant body and the human body thus appear as parts of a single entity, both being equally open to transformation. At the heart of each of my artwork is a live Image captured in the plain air. Working from nature is my favorite part.

I am not so much looking for an ideal, but rather an opportunity to get closer to it. In my work, therefore, a political and ecological paradise coexists with the destructive consequences of what we call "progress". After all, we still do not agree on what strategy we should adopt in confronting the capitalism that fuels our problem of inequality both in relation to each other and to non-human actors.

Was born and studied in Moscow, and graduated from the Moscow State University of culture and art. For some time worked as a decorator, improved my skills, and took drowning lessons from a Russian. Then began to make murals.  I have always admired the play of light and shadow and the transformation of space through painting. So I began to paint more and more author's paintings, as I get more self-expression through ten. Now I live in Singapore, inspired by tropical nature. I actively work in the technique of oil painting and soft pastels. Every day I paint and learn to see the beauty in simple things.
