In this work, I reflect on my memories of life in Singapore a “garden city,” a place that contains a little bit of everything, where diverse cultures, languages, and nationalities coexist on a small island. I have always been inspired by the abundance of vegetation that seems to dominate the urban landscape. I used vibrant colors and slightly stylized the objects to distance the image from reality. Here, I am painting a dreamlike memory, or perhaps, for some, a dream.
