I am a painter-illustrator-graphic designer-posterist-comic artist and passionate traveler. In parallel with image assignments for communication or editing, I lead a global and original artistic project, "Caravan", which brings together the works that the world and its extraordinary diversity inspire me. Unlike the painters-travelers who work on the motive, I do not work directly on the spot, I make field surveys: taking notes and views, quick sketches and picking signs that accompany the reading of writers having borrowed the same paths. The real work of creation is done at the return, in the neutrality of the studio. I rewrite the journey, reinvent it and re-interpret it in complete freedom by relying on my know-how of the image professions. Considering that each trip is unique and has its own language of shapes and colors, I apply to a permanent stylistic renewal, leaving the terrain, places visited influence and guide my pictorial writing. It is the plurality of expressions that makes the singularity of this project. The variety of original propositions is therefore very large, but the coherence effect dominates with a luminous palette and an impression of lightness, tranquility and cheerfulness that permeate the essence of the work. The idea of pleasure feeds the creative process.
