“Whitewater Rush” captures the raw energy and excitement of whitewater kayaking. Surrounded by rushing water, the kayaker becomes part of a movement that is powerful, unpredictable and constantly changing.
The intense blue dominates the composition, creating an immediate sense of water, depth and speed. Against it, the vibrant orange kayak becomes a powerful focal point. Broad, spontaneous brushstrokes evoke breaking waves and turbulent currents, while delicate white lines trace the athlete and paddle with an almost weightless quality.
