This highly detailed and illustrative drawing depicts the way that architectural styles blend and transform when travelling from the central European Alps down towards the Cinque Terre coastline in Italy. Wooden chalets give way to decorated concrete which in turn change to Italian villas with the familiar orange clay tiles before finishing in a simpler yet colourful style of coastal towns.
