Pavarti Azur (2023) Original Sculpture by Philippe Buil

With Pavarti Azur, I explore the strength and beauty of the male torso through the interplay of metal, light, and precious detail.

Using my signature metal lace technique, I shape steel drop by drop, creating an intricate, openwork structure that reveals the human form while allowing light to pass through it. The dark, textured steel contrasts with touches of 24-karat gold leaf, bringing warmth and luminosity to the sculpture.

Balancing strength with delicacy, this contemporary figurative artwork transforms the human body into a sculptural interplay of solid metal and empty space. Its expressive texture and golden accents make each viewing angle a new experience.

Handcrafted in my studio in France, this original sculpture reflects my ongoing exploration of material, movement, and the relationship between light and form.
