This one is pure colour obsession with oil pastels. I was completely absorbed in orange and red, those hot, restless tones that just take over your whole head. Oil pastels let me leave marks that feel raw and immediate.

As I was working, these purple forms started emerging: seed heads, I think, or maybe just shapes that felt botanical and organic. The oil pastels created this richness, this depth. The colours feel like they're glowing because they actually do that's the medium. The purple against all that heat creates this tension that feels alive.

I wasn't overthinking it. I was just following where the colour wanted to go, letting the pastels do what they wanted to do. The reverie is that state you get into when you're completely absorbed in colour and texture and nothing else matters.
