NAKED AND TRUTHFUL (2026) Original Oil Painting by Emilia Milcheva

Naked and Truthful
There is a kind of freedom
in having nothing left to hide.
No decoration.
No careful disguise.
Only what remains
when we stop trying to appear
as something we are not.
The colours are quiet,
the forms stand exposed,
each carrying its own marks,
its own unevenness,
its own truth.
Perhaps being naked and truthful
is not about revealing everything.
It is simply about standing there,
exactly as you are,
and no longer needing
to explain yourself.
