There are kingdoms that appear on no map.
Two beings stand there, each wearing a subtle crown. One is human, the other feline. Neither holds sway over the other. They simply recognize one another as sovereigns of the same territory: that of affection, trust, and presence.
This portrait is a tribute to all those who live alone—whether by choice or due to life’s circumstances. To those for whom a cat has become far more than a companion: a silent confidant, a guardian of daily life, a steadfast presence that turns a house into a home.
In this intimate kingdom, there is neither hierarchy nor loneliness. There is a welcoming gaze, a reassuring presence, and a tenderness that asks for nothing in return. The cat reigns with mysterious gentleness; the human, with embraced vulnerability. Together, they form a kingdom for two, where each watches over the other.
