Long Lost (2024)

“There is a specific kind of silence that arrives just after the sun disappears. It’s the moment when the world stops being a place you see, and starts being a place you feel—haunted by what is no longer there.”

The Twilight Veil: This 60 x 73 cm abstract landscape on 3D linen canvas is a deep dive into the "blue hour." It captures the lingering, electric glow of the sky as it is slowly consumed by the rising shadows of the earth. By applying the Blinkered method, I have distilled this transition into a heavy, atmospheric pulse—a high-contrast dialogue between the cooling turquoise ether and the dark, impenetrable soil.

The Musical Cipher: The title Long Lost acts as a melancholic coordinate in my "sonic diary." It refers to a specific track or a haunting melodic line that echoed the feeling of searching for something—or someone—within the fading light. I invite the collector to seek the auditory echo within these deep teals and burnt umbers; only when the music’s longing matches the visual depth of the linen is the true frequency of the work’s "lost" narrative unlocked.

Sculptural Shadows: Executed on a premium 3D linen canvas, the work possesses a physical weight that anchors its ethereal subject matter. Using unconventional DIY tools like sponges and rags, I built dozens of translucent glazes to create a "kaleidoscopic" darkness. The result is a surface that seems to absorb light, creating a window into a world of absolute stillness and reflective mystery—a perfect, moody centerpiece for a contemporary interior.
