Lighthouse at the Old Danube (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Anna Burger
50 x 50 x 2cm (unframed) / 50 x 50cm (actual image size)
£254.64
Original artwork description
This original acrylic painting is inspired by the Old Danube in Vienna, Austria.
A white lighthouse with a red band rises above the water, surrounded by green vegetation, distant blue hills and a wide luminous sky.
The lower half of the composition is built from expressive reflections and fragmented colour fields in blue, turquoise, green, yellow and soft coral tones.
Rather than reproducing the scene literally, I use simplified forms, layered colour and expressive brushwork to capture the atmosphere of light, water and calm around the Old Danube.
The artwork is part of my Chromatic Austria series, in which I reinterpret Austrian landscapes, regional places and cultural motifs through colour, emotion and contemporary expression.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind acrylic painting on stretched canvas, signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
