Original artwork description:

The painting LEOPARD #4 on raw canvas with red and blue:
Original - painting of a leopard on 100 x 120 cm canvas.

Series of works: ON THE RED LIST

The painting LEOPARD #4 is an expressive modern artwork that shows the leopard's vulnerability to climate change and poaching. It shows a leopard graphically in side view, monochrome on raw canvas. The painting takes up the color of the climatologist Ed Hawkins' Warming Stripes and symbolizes the effects of climate change on the leopard. The leopard is on the Red List of Threatened Species. Habitat loss and threats from poaching continue to be the main causes of threats to the leopard. The series of works "ON THE RED LIST" is an urgent appeal to the dangers of climate change and the effects of poaching on biodiversity. It's a powerful reminder that we have a responsibility to reduce the impact of climate change on wildlife.

The picture is painted with high-quality artists' acrylic paints on raw canvas and stretched on a stretcher frame.
It was created in my studio near Hanover in 2023

Material: acrylic, graphite and varnish against weather influences.
