This painting I created after reading some literature about Cubans who leave their country for a 'better life' in the US. Although their lives are more comfortable, their souls long for the colour of their Caribbean island, the music and the camaraderie...
The Butterfly is the universal symbol of the human spirit.
This painting is about the Cuban spirits returning to their island after they have passed on.
