Original artwork description
Hill fort climb
Barrow mounds,
Darkness over the hillside,
A mixture of chalk, clay and greensand stone,
Prehistoric field system levels,
Ethereal trees,
In the sunlight,
Energy,
Strength,
Liberating feelings.
Words and feelings of climbing a hill in North Dorset at Fontmell Down nature reserve.
A natural area of ancient history with many hill walks that challenge you in a good way.
I used layers of wet in wet back washes -wave technique -One brush technique my bushy hogs hair that hold so much paint.Good quality rough textured watercolour paper -Bockingford acid free and three colour technique.
Feeling the place and taking in the energy is how I created this original watercolour.
