Original artwork description
I am fortunate to live in a city with easy access to many protected national parks. They are an endless source of inspiration for me. However in this painting, I have taken some liberties with the use of colour!!!
Mylor Conservation Park is mostly open forest, with Candlebark Gum, Brown Stringybark , Cup Gum, Pink Gum and Manna Gum. Also, understory plants including wattles, bush pea, and banksia species. Numerous bird species inhabit the area as well as western grey kangaroos and eastern brown snakes.
