ink and gouache on vintage book pages, from an ongoing series of works depicting people in the rain, very popular with collectors worldwide.. I was inspired by a recent trip into Brisbane the capital city of Queensland in Australia, it was an overcast rainy winters day .. the young ladies were leaving the train wearing winter business attire and carrying mostly black umbrellas - a young lady caught my eye with her simple skirt and bright red umbrella, I made quick sketches while sitting on the train of her, which culminated in this large ink work upon returning to the studio..
