Evening Glow over Hochschwab (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Anna Burger

Original artwork description
This original acrylic painting captures a quiet winter evening in the Hochschwab mountain region of Austria.
Cool blue mountains rise behind a snow-covered alpine landscape, while soft pink, coral and pale yellow tones suggest the last warm glow of the setting sun. Small mountain huts and expressive shapes in the foreground bring a human presence into the vast winter scenery.
The work is part of my Chromatic Austria series, in which I reinterpret Austrian landscapes through expressive colour, simplified forms and emotional atmosphere rather than strict realism.
The painting was created with acrylic paint using brushes and palette knives. Layered paint, visible marks and textured areas give the surface movement and depth.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork painted on stretched canvas and signed by the artist.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint on stretched canvas, applied with brushes and palette knife
