Summer in the forest, a quiet place filled with pools of light and soft deep green pools of peace. Close your eyes and see the trees swaying in the soft breeze, hear the leaves rustle and feel the crunch of small twigs under your feet. Dappled light shines in puddles on the path of soft brown pine needles and through a canopy of vibrant green in all shades from lime to deep blue green.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Arches-Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon.

Arches paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp for their materials only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
