Cougar's Gaze / Silent Guardian (2026) Original Oil Painting by Norma Beatriz Zaro

A hyperrealistic puma portrait captured in a moment of alert stillness. Painted in oils on hardboard canvas, this piece showcases Norma Zaro's technical mastery in every detail: the texture of the golden fur, translucent whiskers catching the light, and that green-amber gaze that seems to follow the viewer from any angle.

The dark, softly blurred background, touched with deep greens, wraps the animal in an almost theatrical atmosphere, highlighting the puma's noble profile — a symbol of silent strength and wild presence across the Americas, from Patagonia to the Rocky Mountains.

This piece is part of Norma Zaro's wildlife series, recognized for over 100 international sales and her focus on realism and environmental awareness.
