Original artwork description
I painted Chalkboard Daisies to capture a sense of raw, spontaneous energy. Measuring 150 x 70 cm, this horizontal piece is built on a deep, moody teal background and tonal greens that lets the bright yellow layers and loose, white, cream and ochre linework cut through, complimenting the hints of pink and terracotta throughout.
The composition comes from a place of expressive freedom—mixing messy, gestural brushstrokes with fragmented floral shapes that feel like quick chalk sketches. It is a wide-format statement piece designed to bring a bold burst of colour, contrast, and movement into a modern space.
The imagery extends around the edges of the canvas, offering a seamless presentation, should you choose to hang it without a decorative frame.
