Artwork description:

A humorous pair of characters that carry us into another dimension.

The Chair Riders are running along together, somewhat quickly, in the same direction. The first one is extending forward her fried eggs in their frying pan, and the second one is holding her saucepan full of frogspawn. They might be in a race, although maybe not with each other, and they are definitely keen to get somewhere! If only we could all run along so freely on our chairs.

These sculptures are made of a beautiful translucent British eco-resin, which allows for interesting glimpses through to the armature, or internal structure of the sculptures, and are mounted on individual, separate, clear, flat acrylic bases. They are each approximately 13cm long by 18cm tall and 8.5cm wide including the bases, and the pair are a limited edition of 24. The sculptures are initialled on the inside of the heal of the back left chair legs, and come with a signed letter of authentication, stating the edition number. They are the right size to sit on our desk, shelves or mantlepiece and look as if they are travelling across their own landscape there.

Although the sculptures look delicate, they are actually much more robust than they appear, as well as being lightweight, and can withstand small knocks and movements in the home. I package them in a sturdy cardboard box and they travel very well by courier.

See my further listings to purchase either of these separately, and please feel free to send me a message with any questions. There is a “Contact Me” button next to the “Follow Me” button under my profile images. Thank you so much for your interest in my work.
