Sophie is transgender. She is an exceptional artist on a journey and I wanted to paint her on that route to femininity.
Sophie chose the outfit and accessories for the sitting, and although she looks strong and beautiful, there is still a vulnerability about her which I think comes across well in this portrait.
Sophie is painted on chunky box canvas with edges painted grey.
Will be shipped supported securely by foam and hardboard.
