🎭 CORRIDA – SPIRIT OF THE ARENA

🔶 MY VISION:
I view the world through structural precision and geometric simplification. Bullfights, corrida, are a merciless fight between man and animal, during which the blood of the spectators freezes in their veins.
It's a meaningless sad show that serves primarily to entertain, usually ending with the death of the bull. Still, this fight is fascinating. I captured a brief still moment of both opponents as they each probe their opponent's powers to pull off a successful maneuver.
Sculpture is not about winning and losing. It is about the fight between a man and a bull, and at the same time it is supposed to symbolize the age-old struggle between man and nature for survival.
Through sleek curves, sharp lines, and clean planes above the solid pedestal, I freeze this ultimate micro-moment of focus, danger, and perfect weight distribution.
