Artwork description:

Morning view in early autumn of the Arc de Triomphe at the Carrousel du Louvre in central Paris. I had originally meant to record this view for reference purposes with the aim of returning later to capture this subject in colour when the season was more progressed, ideally with more fallen leaves on the ground and a little less leaf cover in the overhanging tree branches too. This back-lit view of the Arch with the figures conveniently placed in the middle distance along with the lead in lines made this image work well in its own right.
