I painted A Rose for Trying as a personal reminder to celebrate self-appreciation and inner growth. Created as a diptych, this work consists of two separate panels that can be acquired individually or as single pieces. The artwork features a hand holding a vibrant, blooming red rose against a soft background. This piece simply means that I finally appreciate myself for all that I have done, instead of constantly comparing myself to others.

The rich red of the petals symbolizes the love, credit, and honor we deserve to give ourselves just for showing up and trying. By adding light blue on the nails, I wanted to tie in that unique inner energy and spirit. This work is a visual gift—a celebration of choosing self-love over competition.
