Biography
I create paintings and installations that explore identity, contemporary culture and the masks people wear in modern society.
My work brings together Japanese iconography, Western street culture, football culture and pop symbolism. Through these contrasting influences, I examine how identity is shaped by tradition, popular media and social pressure.
Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, I create bold, layered compositions populated by geishas, masked figures, pirates and cultural icons. These characters function as visual masks, inviting viewers to question what lies beneath appearance and how much of the self is chosen, inherited or imposed.
My practice combines visual intensity with social observation, creating original contemporary works that are both immediately engaging and open to deeper interpretation.
