Pooja Verma is a multidisciplinary international artist based in the city of Utrecht, Netherlands, where she lives and works.

    Event: The Secret Garden

    Dates: 5 Sep 2022 - 11 Sep 2022

Venue: Galerie Waterbolk, Schoutenstraat 10, Utrecht, Netherlands

I invite my viewer to summer's morning walk in the secluded garden of the human spirit. The Secret Garden is my perspective on the exuberant possibilities of life - some bursting into blossom, others, contrarily, remaining perennial promises - as we cultivate our personal space in this world. It is a journey of discovery, a quest for the enigma of living a good life: elusive and fickle at the hands of even the most devoted gardener. But taking cue from the friendly robin in Frances Burnett's classic, I skillfully steers viewer past weeds and mildew, and rather draws viewers gaze to the wonders of colour and light.

Pooja : "These canvasses represent the hope and wonder that I have often felt while wandering in gardens during my travel."
Anyone who accompanies me on this uplifting stroll, will realise it is worth to 'cultiver son jardin.'

    Dates: 9 Jun 2018 - 16 Jun 2023

Venue: High commission of India - KualaLumpur Malaysia, Indian Cultural Centre , KualaLumpur
