Biography
Olya Tereschuk is a Russian-Hungarian textile and mixed-media artist based in Budapest. Her practice combines layered fabric, embroidery and painted surfaces to explore memory, landscape and the shifting boundary between what is remembered and what is imagined.
Recurring throughout her work is the horizon — a line that both separates and connects past and present, reality and reflection. In her textile landscapes, fragments of fabric form imagined terrains and mirrored waters, while embroidered lines act as traces of memory: connecting, interrupting and reconstructing what is missing.
Tereschuk trained in design in Novosibirsk and returned to a full-time artistic practice in 2017 after several years working internationally. Her work has been exhibited in Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Asia and is held in private collections internationally.
Alongside original works, she creates custom textile and mixed-media commissions for private collectors, hospitality projects and public interiors.
