Jennifer’s intricate paintings, paper cuttings and paper weavings capture the delicate aesthetic of nature in this series of works, variegated. Biography
This experience has given her a heightened appreciation for the patterns and beauty that exist all around us, both man-made and naturally occurring, and she seeks to share this vision through her art.
It has been suggested in recent years as more becomes known of the condition that artists such as Seurat, the pioneer of pointillism, Van Gogh and more recently Yayoi Kusama famous for her dots, may also have experienced the symptoms of visual snow disorder.
Jennifer's art is a testament to the idea that beauty is found in the most unexpected places. She frequently incorporates recycled materials and found object, and focuses on simple subject matter, showcasing the extraordinary beauty that can be found in the ordinary and imperfect. Through her art, she encourages us to see the world in a new light, and to appreciate the beauty that exists all around us.
She holds a degree in Fine Art and has a rich background in the art world, having previously run her own gallery in New Zealand's picturesque Wellington suburb of Island Bay. Today, she is a full-time independent artist working from her sunny Brisbane studio, and her work is represented in private and corporate collections around the world, from Australia and New Zealand to North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
