Lydia Milford trained in illustration at St. Martins in London and
subsequently worked as a freelance illustrator and designer. In 2004
Lydia returned to study and obtained a master’s degree in Fine Art from
Plymouth University. She works in watercolour and mixed media and is
inspired by the coast and countryside of Devon and Cornwall. Her work is
in collections in South Africa, USA, Holland and France. Lydia
regularly exhibits in Devon. Currently, her practice has three main
areas of focus; Dartmoor, the Devon coastline and rural landscape. She
enjoys the variety of the changing seasons and the drama of weather that
it brings. Lydia works in mixed media on paper with added marks from
crayon and pen or whatever comes to hand.
