Biography
Sigita Jakutyte – “I was born in 1972 in Vilnius. I live in this city so far. In 1991 I finished philosophy studies at Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University. I began to draw then i was a child, as well as frequent child - on the walls :) mostly I liked to draw treble clefs. After studies in University I graduated Vilnius Justinas Vienozinskis art school. Since then, brush and white canvas always finds me. I actively participate in exhibitions and annual summer symposiums. In 2015 I participated in Lithuanian Union of Journalists organized paintings competition "free press – free I". With my art piece "Tramway" I won a trip to Belgium. I paint what I see around me and what I want to talk about. Painting for me is the way of communication, talking with the other close to my soul. And accost. Maybe...”
