I create art because I am fascinated by the small, ordinary moments we usually ignore. A dog waiting in a window. A messy table after dinner. A strange little scene I notice while cycling through Amsterdam. These moments often say more about us than the 'perfect' ones. My work is about finding personality, humor and emotion in everyday chaos, turning simple observations into bold contemporary pieces full of character. I use exaggerated shapes, strong colors and playful details to create paintings that feel alive rather than perfect. Sharing and selling my work allows these stories to continue in someone else's home. I like the idea that a moment from my life can become part of somebody else's.
