I live with my husband and son in Rome, the city where I was born and raised. I have always been drawing and painting for pleasure, but for over ten years I have been studying with a teacher who, in addition to training me technically, has also helped me to bring out my character and my inclinations: in my subjects I look for stories, of daily life or from particular situations, in looks or poses, I want to tell or encourage the viewer to imagine what life, what existence is behind that person or that animal. When I was a girl I focused my creativity on writing, and after university I collaborated with some magazines; once I wrote an article about Orhan Pamuk, one of the most famous Turkish writers: he started as a painter, and then he realized that his best brushes were the keyboard. I had an illumination: for me it was exactly the opposite: my stories had to be a color vision.
I love different mediums: the oil for the paintings I want to taste slowly, the acrylic when I feel the impetus of a strong and impactful creation, the watercolor to experiment.
Four years ago I lost my job and to find another one, in a situation at the time already critical regarding unemployment rates in the country, was quite an issue. So I decided that if life had to be hard, at least it would be in the name of what I love. This is the reason I now turn to Artfinder: to make a change in my career by entering the online market. I participated in several exhibitions with the historic Roman association of 100 Pittori di Via Margutta, in some of the most beautiful streets and squares of the historical center of Rome.
