I made this picture from a photo taken in Antwerp on the riverside, during a trip to Belgium in 2016. She was so: absorbed in her thoughts, her gaze fixed on the water, the cigarette almost forgotten in her right hand. I have been cultivating the idea of this painting for four yers, but I realized it last month. And even now I keep wondering what that woman was thinking.
It is oil on canvas, on a basis of acrylic plaster.
