Christopher Gill has been a professional fine artist and portrait painter for over 30 years . His art is created in oil paint on canvas. Christopher Gill initially studied Graphic Design at Derby College of  Higher Education before going on to study Fine Art at Lancashire Polytechnic (graduating in 1984) where his paintings earned a 1st Class Honours..  He has paintings in many UK and international private and corporate collections. He has undertaken prestigious portrait commissions, including group portraits of a monumental nature, and painted in his trademark naturalistic style. His clients include private collectors, families and celebrity clients.
Christopher's passion is to create handsome figurative paintings and breathtaking landscapes that will stand the test of time to become heirlooms and classics of the future.
All of his recent paintings are "narrative" paintings, although he does like to keep that narrative fairly enigmatic. More than that, he wants to create beautiful paintings that are gently thought provoking; that are open to interpretation and reward aesthetic contemplation. On a more objective note, they have to hang well within a domestic interior. These latest paintings are the culmination of the past 30-odd years of experience.
