Alla Kallas is a self-taught oil painter based in London, Canada. She did not follow the traditional path of an artist; instead, she forged her practice through sleepless nights, motherhood, and rigorous discipline. Her work favours atmosphere, emotion, and genuine connection over cold perfection.

A lifelong art lover, Alla spent many years working in an educational environment and never initially imagined a life dedicated to creating. Her fascination deepened during extensive travels across Europe, northeast Africa, and Asia, where hours spent in museums and galleries studying the Old Masters awakened a desire to paint. In 2021 she turned to the brush as a source of happiness and renewal.

Each of Alla’s works tells a unique story, rich in emotion and depth; she brings subjects to life with a striking sense of presence. Her range spans figurative art, landscapes, florals, and seascapes—genres she moves between fluidly by experimenting with color and technique. Florals and water remain among her favorite subjects.

“I feel most myself while painting; it brings me joy and happiness, and I hope it will bring the same to you,” she says. Inspired by the beauty of nature, travel, and her own memories, Alla creates premium pieces with a soul capable of transforming both space and the people who inhabit it.

Her paintings are held in private collections across North America and she has been featured in numerous online media. Alla also accepts commissions.
