Lucky me, I get to paint everyday to make a living. I love all images Japanese or oriental. I constantly see images I cant wait to translate onto canvas . I like to use this eastern style in my own way. With a western and slightly modern twist and often with a sense of humour. 
I paint mainly on metal leaf, dutch metal, silver leaf, 23 carat gold and moon gold. I also love to add real  mother of pearl inlay in gesso. Im really a bit of a magpie.
My techniques are quite traditional and frequently quite complicated. Some pieces can have 30 layers on them!
