This is the meandering Burbage Brook as it makes it's way through the boulders at Padley Gorge, Derbyshire Peak District National Park, UK.
This image was made in summer 2015 as the rocks and trees are at their greenest at the start of August. Both my feet and tripod took a dunking to make this shot. My two stop polarising filter was all that was required to slow the motion of the water as only a small amount of sunlight makes it down into the bottom of the gorge through the tree canopies at this time of year.
I was particularly drawn to the winding nature of the stream as it made it's way through the rocks and boulders which are much more prominent given the low water level following a long relatively dry period. The greens of the leaves and mosses really emphasise the feeling of nature in this photograph. This is the original (A3) edition.
