Woman touching a man (1994) Original Painting by Phyllis Mahon

A little heart shaped painting on Birds Eye Maple Veneer applied to a wooden panel base showing two lovers.
Her hair is flying up to follow the curve of the heart shape and under her flowing hair her hand is touching his.
I have utilised the beautiful veneer as part of the painting (see on the lovers' skin). The materials used are acrylic including gold acrylic and the piece is finished with a satin varnish.

In the early 1990s when I met my second husband, he was a French Polisher at that time so would make me some unusual little bases to paint on. I painted three heart shaped pieces like this in total. The other two are in private collections in the UK.

Ready to hang.
The back of the panel is covered with Himalayan paper and signed and titled.
